President
Jiang Shuren, born in 1944 in Anhui Province, Senior Professor, honoured recipient of the State Council’s Special Stipend, member of the Beijing Geely University Board, is the current President of Beijing Geely University.
Professor Jiang Shuren was formerly the President of China Agriculture University. Among many posts he has successively held are: Director, Centre of Produce Quality Supervision and Control (Beijing) of the Ministry of Agriculture; Vice Director-General, National College Teaching Research Committee; Vice Director-General, China Agriculture Ecological and Environmental Protection Association; Director-General, Beijing Farm Chemical Society; Provost, China Agriculture University. His main research areas are farm chemical science (pesticidal residue and environmental toxicology) and produce safety (environmental pollutant analysis). Professor Jiang Shuren has presided over many research projects and has won many prizes and awards, including one first prize of Educational Research Achievements at State level and several ministerial level prizes for special contribution to the agricultural science. He has published over 120 academic theses and numerous specialized works and monographs. |

Vice President
Liu Huasong, born in 1956, graduated in 1982 from Jilin Medical Institute. In 1997 he graduated with an MD from the Medical School at University of Leiden, the Netherlands. In 1998 he was a post-doctoral research fellow in University of Miami, U.S.A. He is currently a board member and the Executive Vice President of Beijing Geely University.
Professor Liu Huasong has been a physician and Assistant President of the Affiliated Hospital of Jilin Medical School, CEO of the joint venture Leiden Biomaterials Co. Ltd., and Asia CEO of the Zila Therapeutics, Inc, U.S.A. Professor Liu Huasong is the scientist in chief of China’s “863” High-Tech Programme (2003AA326010) and a member of the evaluation board for China’s “863” High-Tech Programme projects. He is a full professor at the Dental Hospital affiliated to the Capital Medical University. In 1995 he won the outstanding research achievement prize from University of Leiden, the Netherlands; In 2003, he was awarded the title of Outstanding Figures in fighting SARS by the Municipal Government of Beijing. He has published many scientific theses and he holds two state patents. |

Vice President
Li Ke-an, Senior Professor and honoured recipient of the State Council’s Special Stipend, born in Jianhu County, Jiangsu Province in January 1945, is currently Vice President of Beijing Geely University.
Professor Li Ke-an graduated from the Chemistry Department of Peking University in 1970. He has successively held the posts of Vice-Dean of the Chemistry Department, Director of the Research Institute of Applied Analytical Chemistry, Director of the Academic Affairs Department, and the Vice Provost, all at the University of Peking. Concurrently, he is also the Vice Director of the Chinese Continuing Engineering Education Association, Vice Director of the Higher Educational Assessment Branch of the China Association of Higher Education, Secretary General of the Science Subjects Committee of the China Association of Higher Education, Vice Director of Higher Educational Innovation Branch of China Association of Innovations, Executive Member of the Teaching Research Committee of Higher Education of the Chinese Ministry of Education, Vice Director of the Chemistry Major Committee as well as heading the Specialists Group for the Beijing Annual of the Higher Education Quality. Professor Li Ke–an has presided over six research projects funded at state level and two at municipal level. He has published over 300 papers in core journals both at home and abroad and a dozen specialized books and monographs. His academic achievements have on two occasions been awarded first prizes and three second prizes for the Analysis and Testing Technology in China. In 2003 he received first prize for Natural Sciences awarded by the Chinese Ministry of Education. One of the classes he was in charge of was among the first to be awarded the National Model Class by the State.
Li-Ke-an’s past accolades include: Outstanding Teaching Master of Beijing, Pacesetter for Education Administration of Beijing, Beijing Model Textbook Award, Special Award of the Bao Steel Education Foundation, plus numerous other education achievement awards at both municipal and national levels.
