Campus Culture
Campus culture embodies the spirit of a university. It reflects the overall civil quality and moral values of the students. Good campus culture, apart from improving the cultural accomplishments of teachers and students, also favours the development of their academic and creative power and will exert notable influence on students for them to become accomplished citizens in the future.
In line with directives from the relevant educational authorities, we try to achieve the goal of ethics education through organizing campus cultural activities, multi-layered in form and positive in outlook. An example of this is the setting up of three student organizations, namely, a School Band, an Association of Art and Performance and a Salon of Peking Opera. Such activities have contributed to students’ moral refinement and knowledge buildup.
Since 2008, a lecture series on the university level, open to all, has been organized with Professor Jiang Shuren, the university president, taking the lead by delivering the first lecture on modern agricultural science and technology.
